On day four we woke up early, piled into the car, and traveled to the park. On this day we were going to California Adventures. It is the other Disney park that is just on the other site from the Disneyland park. Once thru the park we quickly walked to the fastpass station to get our tickets for the night water/light show. After that-we walked over to a special area of the park set up for a private meet and greet for people with a Chase Bank Disney Credit or Debit card. There was quite a line and it was so hot. By the time we arrived at the front sweat was dripping off my face. This was pretty neat-we got to meet Minnie Mouse and get our photo taken (which we received a free 5x7). Kyra was soooo excited! She wore her Minnie Mouse dress too. Brynlee wasn't too sure of what to think.
It seriously was SOOOOO hot! I don't know why, I don't think it was any hotter degree wise-but holy cow!!!! We went on the Monsters Inc and Little Mermaid ride a lot b/c they were inside, away from the sun.
I packed lunches everyday-but on this day we sat in a cafeteria section and ordered lg drinks for everyone. The kids were all smiles-Devin and I were dragging.
One of our favorite rides was the Mader ride. It is a little like the scrambler at the fair, but more fun. I went on it 4+ times, Devin a few, the kids a TON, and they even had grandma on it. You couldn't ride this one without a huge smile on your face.
We stayed in the park for a few hours and around 3 or so, we walked back over to the Disney Park and did some more rides that we didn't get to the day before. Tristan had to try the sword in the stone;he has no clue the story behind that; but thought it was fun to try. We went on Mr Toads Wild ride: I've been to DisneyLand several times and DisneyWorld twice-and this was the first time I've ever been on this one.
We walked past the new "Frozen" section of the park. The photo below is the closest we came to any of the characters. It was over a 4hr wait to get inside. WHAT???? 4 hours??
After dinner and enjoying Haunted Mansion and Pirates again-we headed back over to California Adventure to ride Mader a few more times and get ready to see the light show. We caught up to Nicole, Cortlynn, and grandma, and grandpa where we had awesome seats. This is a new show and I was excited to see it. WOW-this was so much fun!!! It's amazing what they can do with water, lazers, etc. AWESOME! We were standing pretty close to the water and were warned we would get wet. Well-we sure did. By the time it was over-we were all pretty wet.
All day Tristan wanted to go on the Tower of Terror. I got the fastpasses and he constantly asked me when we would be going back to ride on it. I'm a huge chicken in my old age and really don't handle being scared. I wasn't looking forward to this ride but couldn't let Tristan go on it and me sitting outside. The picture below doesn't really show the extent of FEAR Tristan and I had. I think I had my eyes open for the first minute of the ride-the rest of the time I was turned towards Cortlynn, hanging on for dear life, squeezing my eyes shut, and praying for it to be over. I had placed Tristan's hat under my butt/thigh and when it was over the guy in front of us asked if the hat belonged to me. I raised off the seat far enough it flew out. Tristan was terrified. The poor little man was in tears and couldn't get off the ride fast enough.
This was our FREE 5x7. Isn't it cute?
