Valentines Day 2012

Well another Valentine's Day has come and gone. WOW-how time flies by. This year we bought cute stuffed animals for the kids (I didn't have a chance to take a picture of them) and I left them out on the counter for them to find in the morning. Tristan was so excited he came up to me and thought some sort of Valentine "fairy" or Valentine Clause brought them. He didn't know what to think when I explained that they were from me and his dad.
For Devin I made a deck of cards into a "52 Reasons why I love you" deck. I thought it turned out pretty cute and Cortlynn was excited to see Devin's reaction. The kids and I made heart shaped sugar cookies and I made heart shaped cheese sandwiches. YUMMY!
I also found cheap valentine socks that I cut up and sewed together to make arm/hand warmers for Cortlynn. She really liked them. (YES, I can sew)

Cortlynn and I made these valentine cards for her class. I thought they were really cute; and we went with a pencil instead of candy.

I've been working with Tristan on learning his letters. I've turned the learning into a "craft" project and he loves to find the letters out of magazines and make the letter. They are turning out really cute.

Tristan has a new star wars light saber partner: his sister Kyra. It is funny to see her pick one up and chase people around. She thinks she is sooooo big.

This is the look I get a lot. The "I didn't do anything naughty Mom" look. :-)

Check out her mouth full of cereal. She helps herself to the cereal and will dig thru the boxes to find the kind she wants.
