Let's Hug
With everything that is going on in my personal life, friends, family, in the world-my 21 month old daughter has the "cure-all" phrase/action I wish everyone would abide by.
Kyra is such a sweetie. If you're having a bad day, a tear in your eye, not feeling well; she will look up at you, outreach her arms, and say "Let's Hug." Just two simple words can change your entire outlook.
I've told Devin that when someone is being a butt at work or not being nice--he should look up at them, outreach his arms, and say "Let's Hug".
People are so caught up in life and the drama of politics that humanity can almost seem like it is nonexistent. With the violence oversees due to a movie and the retaliation I'm sure that will follow-Wouldn't it be nice and a change if the people of the world took a moment and hugged their neighbor instead of calling them an idiot for their political views, chastised them for their religious beliefs, picked up a weapon to deal with their problems, and everything else that makes no sense to me?!
So next time you're having a pretty crappy day and someone really needs a kick in the butt---take a moment, outreach your arms, and say, "Let's Hug".

First Day of School 2012
With everything that has happened over the last couple of weeks, I haven't posted photos of the first day of school. Both Cortlynn and Tristan are in school this year and so far they love it. Cortlynn is in 6th grade and Tristan is in Kindergarten. I'm trying to get used to Tristan's school schedule and am thankful I'm not working becuase I'm afraid I would forget to pick him up. He goes to school every other Monday and full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm so glad they sent home a color coded calendar.
